“One in five rooftop solar systems are deficient and thousands of Australians are being denied lower power bills because their household solar delivers less electricity than promised, new data shows.” – Fairfax Media, 1 June 2018
Even worse, most power companies aren’t telling their customers if their solar is deficient. Why? Traditionally, power companies make money by selling their customers more energy, so they’re not inclined to let you know when your solar stops working. If your solar’s deficient then you have to buy more power, which serves them pretty well.
So, what are we doing about it?
But, for DC Power Co customers, we’re developing something even better. If your solar system ever stops working properly, we’ll let you know as soon as possible with a solar alert.
This is because we don’t make money by our customers buying more power and our priorities and efforts are linked to a providing a great service. Rather, our focus is on helping you optimise your solar to bring down your power bills over the long run.
