What is a distributor?

Posted in Jargon explained

The network companies (also known as distributors) own and look after the power lines that transmit the electricity from the national grid to your property, and your solar generation back to the grid. There are many different network companies in Australia although each company operates a monopoly in its given area.

There are a number of ways to find your distributor – you can look on your bill, visit the Australia Energy Regulator, or get in touch with your electricity retailer.
