What’s the promo code?

To unlock these plans, you need to input the promo code “DCP” at dcpowerco.com.au/energy. This is because these plans are exclusive to friends of DC Power Co and we need to let Tango Energy know who you are. 

Alternatively, just say “DCP” when you are on the phone to Tango Energy to gain access.

By entering a promo code and subsequently joining an energy plan you agree Tango Energy and DC Power Co will share your personal and energy data in line with the Tango Energy privacy policy and DC Power Co privacy policy to provide these services. DC Power Co receives a referral fee from Tango Energy for any customer who switches their energy account.

 

How long does it take to sign up?

Signing up online only takes five minutes. All you’ll need to do is input your details and read and agree to the terms and conditions.

You can also sign up over the phone, and this generally takes about five minutes. In this case you will need to provide your details and agree to the terms and conditions.

 

What happens after I sign up?

Once you’ve signed up, you’ll receive confirmation from both Tango Energy and DC Power Co. Then there is a 10-day cooling off period during which time you can change your mind if you wish.

Following that, your switch request is processed. If you have a smart meter, you can expect to change over in around 15 to 30 days. If you don’t, you’ll have to wait until your next meter read to be switched over, which can take a couple of months.

Once you have switched, you will receive confirmation from Tango Energy, and we will get in touch with you about the DC Services.

 

I want to sign up over the phone, can I?

Absolutely. Feel free to call one of Tango Energy’s award winning Australian call centres on 1800 865 205 and be sure to quote the code “DCP”.

 

Can I bring my premium feed-in tariff with me?

Yes, absolutely.

 

I currently receive a concession or medical rebate with my current electricity retailer. Are these available with your plans?

Yes, concessions and rebates are available. Get in touch with Tango Energy on 1800 865 205 to chat to someone about this.

 

Does it cost anything to switch?

No, switching doesn’t cost anything!

 

Does my power go out when I switch?

No, your power will remain connected while switching. However, you may have to turn your mains switch on or off (as directed by Tango).

 

Does my solar turn off when I switch?

No, your solar will continue to function as normal while switching.

 

Why can’t I see your energy plans on government comparison sites?

Our plans with Tango Energy are exclusive and restricted to friends of DC Power Co, so they’re not generally available. You can see if the rates are lower than those you are on by viewing the website and a copy of your energy bill. Or, you can give the team at Tango Energy a call on 1800 865 205 and quote the promo code “DCP” to have them talk through the rates.
