Will my feed-in tariff change after the battery is fitted?

If you have a standard feed-in tariff, adding a battery will not impact it at all.

Will I still get a premium feed-in tariff after the battery is installed? (Vic govt scheme)

Yes. Under the Victorian premium feed-in tariff scheme, you can add a battery to your existing solar system and still receive your PFiT, as long as you maintain your eligibility requirements as outlined in your contract.

Bare in mind though that a battery will help you use more of your solar energy at home, which means you’ll be exporting less to the electricity grid.

Will I still get bonus feed-in tariff after the battery is installed? (Qld govt scheme)

If you have a premium feed-in tariff any adjustment to your system, including getting a battery, will mean you’ll likely forfeit your bonus FiT.

Please note this if you’re considering purchasing the DC Sunny Saver.
