Space requirements
You’ll need around 1.8m x 1.8m of free wall space to install the Redback Smart Battery.
Solar system requirements
We suggest a minimum solar system size of 3kWs to add a battery. Let us know if you have a solar system smaller than this.
Grid connected battery
This battery package is designed to be a grid connected system. If you are looking for an off-grid solution, we advise researching an alternate product.
Switchboard upgrades
Is your switchboard already filled with appliances? You’ll likely just need to upgrade your switchboard to add a battery. Don’t worry, your installer will take care of this for you.
Your home’s configuration
Let us know if you live in a double-storey house with an internal switchboard, as these kinds of installations can be a little trickier than usual so it’s good to know in advance.
Switchboard location
Do you have a shed which houses your solar panel system and the main switchboard? If so, let us know as this could affect the installation on your blackout box.
